SPAWAR Air Traffic Control Contract Awarded to CSSI

 Washington, DC [October 2015] – The U.S. Department of the Navy Space and Warfare Systems Center Atlantic (SPAWAR) awarded CSSI, Inc. and its subcontractors including LS Technologies, LLC (LST), the Air Traffic Control (ATC) Engineering and Technical Services Contract. The multiple-award, Indefinite Quantity Indefinite Delivery (IDIQ) contract, is valued at approximately $199 million over five years and CSSI was one of three awardees. CSSI has strong past performance with SPAWAR, especially in Charleston, SC, where most of the contract work will be performed. LST has extensive experience supporting the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) ATC infrastructure.

Work performed under this contract includes engineering support to SPAWAR and other government agencies. Technical responsibilities will include engineering design, budgeting, scheduling, management, procurement, evaluation, software support, integration, maintenance, certification, testing, training, configuration management, and field logistics support for many programs, including: ATC, Meteorology and Oceanography (METOC), United States Antarctic Program (USAP), Naval Flight Information Group (NAVFIG) Terminal Instrument Procedures (TERPS) Program, and the U.S. Air Forces Central (USAFCENT) programs, systems, and equipment.

Steve Dash, Executive Vice President of Advanced Programs, will manage the LST effort. LST will support ATC integration and maintenance at SPAWAR facilities.
