LST recently hosted another entry in our continuing series of informative brown bags, this time focusing on the topic of cybersecurity. Our guest speaker was Mr. John Paul Parker, who is currently the Technical Director of the Intelligence Community Security Coordination Center, which coordinates the cyber defense of the 17 organizations comprising the U.S. Intelligence Community (IC) and which is one of seven presidentially designated Federal Cybersecurity Centers. Mr. Parker has also served as a Fellow in the first ever Strategic Studies Group, and was a Director and co-founder of the BAE Systems Intelligence Innovation Division. In a fun, interactive discussion, Mr. Parker shared his expertise in cybersecurity on topics ranging from the security threats posed by nation-state actors, to the timeline of events surrounding the OPM breach, to the best practices that companies like LST can leverage to reduce cyber threats.
