LST has made a strong, prolonged and generous commitment to active duty military and veteran’s causes.
The company, and its employees, donate time and money. LST sponsors an annual aviation industry golf tournament to raise money for “Hope for the Warriors”; in 2016 LST donated $20,000 to the charity. LST donated $1,000 to Warrior360, a veteran’s welfare charity. The company’s significant annual donation of money and goods to Marine Camp Pendleton included a vanload of holiday gifts for military families worth $20K, personally delivered to Camp Pendleton by the LST CFO in December 2016. Employees participate in creation of Memorial Day care packages for active duty personnel. LST’s holiday gift to clients in 2016 was “EOD” fudge, hand-crafted and sold by a veteran blinded in an IED explosion in Afghanistan.
In addition to support for the military, LST has a robust corporate donation request process; employees can apply to receive donations and/or corporate sponsorship of civic and charitable events of interest to them.
In 2016 the company donated to charities such as UNICEF, sponsored local kids sports teams and a robotics team for children, and offered support for the DC-based urban young adult job training organization “Year Up”. LST sponsors group volunteering activities, providing support to the DC Capital Area Food Bank, and school supplies for underprivileged youth. LST declared December 2016 as the “Month of Caring”, offering matching charitable donations and encouraging employee volunteering by offering rewards (cash donations to charities) to volunteering employees.
